Low-end power options

[trx400exxracer]

I have a 400ex and I race xc and I already have my suspension mods on there and they are still coming but I want some more low end and torque.

I was thinking
fly wheel weight
cam
but I don't know which ones to get and what other stuff I can get to get more low end power and torque out of this thing

and what about the powernow kits I heard they added low end

I was planning on this stuff in the future

A 14 tooth front sprocket would help too. You loose a little top end but gain it on the bottom.

yeah but I kinda have that perfect top end right now doesnt a cam help by not hurting your top end or any other options

torque is all about compression ratio and stroke.

gear down if internals aren't an option.

1 tooth down in front = 3 teeth up in back

Meaning you can change it a smaller amount by going with a bigger sprocket in the back

i didnt really loose to much topend when i had just a 14 tooth sprocket. I am currently running 14/39 combo and still go 56mph. I felt some pretty good all around power with the hotcam stage1. Intake and exhaust if not already done. But a high compression piston like the other guys said will help you out pretty good.

I was planning on this stuff in the future

down a tooth in the front, stage 1 cam, sparks timing advance key, remove the choke. If thats not enough, get a piston and lower your gearing even more. It should be enough though.....
