hey guys, I'm in the process of taking off my stock swingarm and damn is it hard. Every single bolt is on sooo tight it's nearly impossible. My friend Mike is helping me and he is a mechanic, so he knows what he is doing. I have air tools but there not even strong enough.

My main problem right now is the shock linkage..

What can I do to get these bolts of easier? It's so fcuking hard!

Thanks guys

I'm on a 2005 z400 FYI.

take a piece of pipe and stick it over a ratchet so it gives you more leverage

Do a search for swingarm linkage, a lot of good info to help you.:)

Yes use a "cheater bar" anything that will give you more leverage is the key

you could heat up every bolt that you take out and use some penitrant.

I actually do have a heater gun, thats not going to ruin the bolts right?

it might, heating any metal up makes it weaker....

Don't use a heat gun. torch

unless your looking to buy new bolts dont heat them up cuz it makes them considerabley weaker and you dont want that especially on your swingarm.
