I have a 400ex cylinder that is already bored for the 465 sleeve if your interested. Needs a new sleeve though.

My 465 motor runs very strong, its diffrent then sparks kit. But I am sure theres runs plenty strong as well.

I am thinking of doing the 465 kit with 13:1 compression and an additional oil cooler. Who has experience with this set up in woods racing (harescrambles)???

i know a guy who has one, i believe it is right at 50 hp. he even trail rides the thing, i don't think he has ever had a problem with it.

If I go with the 13:1 compression then I will certainly upgrade the connecting rod and head bolts, etc

tds - i would think that's a good idea i hear of alot of people blowing the rod shortly after upgrading/boring high comp pistons

I would look into getting the crank balanced as well with the 465.
