What are the differences between these two? Pro's and cons? I did a search and didn't really come up with anything? What about single row?

single row you will really only find on OEM units. Double row has bearings that are twice as wide as stock and last much longer, but you will need the doulbe-row carrier. You cant just put double row bearings into your stock carrier. Tapered are the best of the bunch, they are designed to take a side load much better which is what a carrier experiences as well as the vertical loads. The tapered ones will last much longer, but they usually cost more as well.

Don't get tapered its a waste of money.

The bearings have no seals so dirt can get in there and you loose chain adjustment.

Get double row, they are cheaper and are basically what you want.
Plenty strong, all performance no gimmicks.

Double row all the way here. Basically you have 2 sets of bearings on each side of the carrier. Usually, the bearing sets are single units with 2 bearing races in each one.

Tapered are good, but they are high maintenenace, and need a lot more accuracy when torquing them down, since tightening your locknut makes adds pressure to the bearings. (kind of like overtightening a lathe, not good, lol)

Tapered are probably best suited for TT & Flat Track. I'd personally go with double row everywhere else.
