Alright guys, I just changed the clutch in my old 250ex, along with the springs. I was wondering if anyone elses clutches had about .5" of play to move around in the clutch assembly. I'm having really bad clutch slip under accel. If I adjust the screw in the front of the motor will it help fix the slipping? I also had to replace the weights and back plate in the centrifiugal clutch, but I dont really think this is the problem. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running out of ideas. Thanks guys.

i never changed the clutch (thank god) but i do know that the front screw thing will adjust how loose/tight the clutch is. i was always having trouble getting the 250 to shift quickly from 1st to 2nd (didn't have a problem with any other gear)....adjusted it, and wasn't a problem

Yes i had changed my springs in my centufugal clutch. All you need to do is adjust the bolt in the front like the other poster. There is a piont right inbetween where in 1st gear that it moves by itself, and where it doesnt move even when the gas is on. Fine that piont and your OK. Make sure your idle screw is OK too, that might mess things up.
