OK guys I need to set my preload on my rear Elka rebuild how do I go about doing this? Thanks for the help.

as far as i can tell, your preload is set by the spring rate. the preload adjuster is used to adjust the ride heigth. you can shim in between the ssd and the main spring, but thats only going to transfer your body weight to the main spring sooner. on mine the ssd spring is bottomed out under the weight of the quad itself. jeff am i right on this?

I am wanting the rear to sit a little lower.

general settings.... compression and rebound...because my stock shock rode better than the elka rebuild.....i do like the ride height change and thats it:(

Quad4Stroke there is no way the Elka should be worse then your Stock Shock. It should be way better. Do you get any Instructions on how to Adjust the Fronts or anything? I am going to be ordering some Front Elka`s and have never had Aftermarket Shocks so all the Adjusting will be new to me. I was just wondering if there was something that would help me learn how to do it and do it right. Thanks.

rear rebuild terrible...so far. Explain how im going to get a better ride when half of my travel is sag taken up by the upper ssd spring?

Hey Josh chill out and take it easy:)

Plus the fact that you would rather post here than call to where you purchased the Elka's and also post here just makes C&D seem like their hard to deal with.

And their not hard to deal with, so y not just call em.

Yeah I would like to know. I will be getting some Elka`s and I have no idea how to Adjust them so any Info would be Great.
