Iv got a question when you change your front brake pads in a 450R I never seem to be able to get the same feeling back in the lever. It is a little soggy. Even though I bled all the air out of the lines it isnt the same as before. What could the problem be?
Aftermarket pads, wrong brake fluid, or just not bleeding them right. Would the brake fluid make a diffrence I have some NAPA DOT 3 fluid in there now would changing it to factory honda fluid fix it? Or should I stick with stock honda brake pads? "

"To anyone that is going to tell me to get all the air out of the lines shut up, that is the most obevous thing and all the air is out, there is some other problem."

Need some good info"

Get a vacuum pump. It will fix your problem.

Its a hand pump that forces the air you have in your brakelines out. Manual brake bleeding won't get all the air out, even if you manage to you will have much firmer brakes by using a vacuum pump. You can get it at any autoparts store for about $25.

Reverse bleeding also works well.

1. Pump your brakes up about 15-20 times.
2. Keep the the brake lever compressed and strap it this way.
3. Loosen the brake reservoir so the cover is just sitting on top to keep any dirt from falling in.
4. Wait 8 hrs. Best to do this before you go to bed.
5. Get up in the morning and do steps 1 and 2 again.
6. When you get home from work, tighten the brake reservoir cover.

You should be good to go.
