stripped threads

i was putting in one of my head cover bolts, the long ones, and it just kept spinning. i realized my threads were stripped, not on the bolt, but where it threads to. how do you re-thread this, or do you have to but a new cylinder

You can use a heli-coil and use the original bolt, otherwise you will have to drill it and tap it larger.

Yeah my friends 400 had the same problem...your prolly gonna have to get it drilled and tapped...
