ok so i was on ebay and foufn a swingarm that i need and it said it would fit a 450r and a 400ex? just wondering if a 450r extended swingarm can fit on a 400ex? please let me know or send me a message tell me about it thanks!

No, The 400ex swingarm is different in many ways from the 450R. The housing is wider and the Chainslide mount is also different. Other than that, they are similar looking. I build both. But they are definitely different.

my friend ran a 450r swingarm on his 400. but he had to run the 450r linkage, axle carrier and axle

That would work.. The top pivot offset is the same. It would bolt right up. You would have to go with all the 450r gear like your friend did. Might be a little spendy.
