Here is the DASA Air Filter along with the air box mod. The filter comes with an outerwears cover also.

These the steps required for the installation with the stock air box
1. Remove the air box
2. Remove the stock air filter
3. Remove about 1in from the rear of the air box to allow better air flow.
3. Install the Billet Adapter
4. Remove the air filter tower that secures the stock filter
5. Reinstall the air box
6. Install the air filter

the filter looks big enough to fit on the intake of a car. also how much is it?

not sure what Brian sells the filter for, but I especially love the built in velocity stack the filter has with the adapter.

I'm going with this with the K&N power lid. Expensive for both, but worth the gains since the velocity all starts there,....

With this filter set up you can not use a lid. The filter is to tall.

MY mistake, The lid will fit. I just tried it again. and must of had the back clips down and not allowing the lid to fit.

great point, but I'm not going to use both on the trails. I'm only going to use both on the dyno. In other words, just the velocity stack of the DASA together with the power lid on the dyno, and just the DASA for riding.

is this for the 04/05 models or the 06?

also is there an outerwear available to fit this?

I am not sure about the 06 and yes it has an outerwear pre filter.

I was going to test the DASA Filter and the KBR DD Filter, but I have gotten some emails asking for the K&N.
So I am going to use the K&N I have used and test it against the DASA Filter.

Are you still gonna test it against the dd filter. I think alot of people are/would be curious how the dasa stands up to the filter set-up with out an airbox.

I'd like to see a dyno with the difference between all of them. The DASA, the KDD, a K&N, and a UNI. It would be interesting to see.

It depends on time as to what filters I will do. I have already done the k&n, Uni and Prodesign. The K&n made the most hp, the uni made very slightly less but more torque and the pro design made less hp and torque than the K&N and uni.

I have another 450r to dial in so time will play a factor.
I will try to do the DD Filter also.

Oh alrigth cool. Being that the differences were so small is it really fair to compare the different filters from different dyno test days?

Well I sold the Vortex CDI so I wont test that now. So The DD will be tested with the DASA and the K&N.

Is that the same filter from a 250R?? It looks identical to that on my 250R...if it is, than I would definately switch over just so I can use 1 tye of airfilter on both bikes
