I was just wondering if anybody here has used a 450r for flatland stunts? How do they work compared to a 400ex?

Thanks in advance!

400ex is alot better to stunt with compared to the 450, but the r is definitly doable. if your into slow 1st gear stunts i would definitly get a size different front sprocket so first gear isnt so long. you cant really walk along in 1st on the 450 without alot of clutch work or it will bog and stall. fast wheelies on the 450 are pretty good, just need to get used to the balance point. compared to the 400, the power isnt as smooth so it takes alittle more to keep the 450 up in the balance point without going to far back.

if i feel like doing some wheelies, i take out my 400 over the 450

THERE IS NO COMPARISON WIT THE 400 N THE 450R. I HAVE RIDDEN ALMOST EVERY TYPE OF SPORT QUAD AND THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A 400EX FOR STUNTING... THE 450 HAS THE POWER BUT, IF YOU EVER STUNTED WIT A 400EX YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY I FEEL THE 400EX WAS THE QUAD MADE FOR STREET STUNTS...

THAT IS A BONE STOCK 2002 400EX - NOTHING BUT A SET OF HOOSIER STREET TIRES !!!!!

EDIT JOEX~ Helmets required on atvriders.com

Low tire pressure helps steer the quad , and no helmets makes a lil more interesting and leaves no room for mess ups - so you push a lil harder to get a trick down pat.

EDIT JOEX~ Helmets required on atvriders.com

my buddy stunts his 450 a little bit. for fast long wheelies, it is very good, especially in stock trim/and gearing. because of the tall first gear it is a little "aqward" to get the feel of things for slow wheelies. an lz or ex might be a little more ideal for slower stuff, but then again eveything depends on the rider!
