for an 04, you should be able to get 3000 if it's in goodshape.

You can at least take it to the dealership so see about trading it in but i think you should be able to sell it for at least $3000 with no problems what so ever!

You should be able to get more than $3k out of an 04 easily.

im definitely getting pictures, but i have to get my money down first. ive got about 200 bucks to go. this way at the very least ill be financing less then 3k for my 450R and have very low payments...so i can try and pay it off in less then 6months like i did with the 400ex

Trade-In Value (Good Condition) $2620

Trade-in Value is what consumers can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in unit assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than you would receive from a private party sale because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business. Trade-in values are based on clean units in good condition, with all original standard equipment. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above.

its very hard to go by Kbb, their gap between a dealer and private party is 1200 bucks. and it doesnt account for the condition. "good" condition for a quad is that its mostly clean and the tires are worn. mine is gonna look brand new.
