I WAS LOOKING AT SERVICE HONDA WEB SITE FOR SOME 86-87 ENGINE CASES. DO THEY COME WITH BEARING. I SAW SOME ON EBAY FROM CAL- ATV THAT COMES WITH BEARING WHEN YOU BUY THE CASE. HAS ANYONE BOUGHT A CASE FROM CAL-ATV. I BEEN BURNED TOO MANY TIME ON EBAY. ONE MORE THING IS THERE A WAY TO TELL MARK BALDWIN TRANS GEAR SET. A GUY IN TOWN HAS A SET. I JUST TO MAKE SURE.

I just got a left side case from Service Honda for my 86 R for Christmas from my wife and it came with all the bearings in it. They were the cheapest place I could find to get one. It was something like 245 dollars shipped. I am restoring mine and will be getting most of my parts from them,my wife said they were very friendly and helpful when she called to order mine. They offer like 30% off on mail order parts.

I just got a set of huron gears, and if baldwin gears are close to these somethings are easy to tell, on three of the gears. the center section on second gear is definetly thicker. none of the gears have casting marks, looked fully machined. third and fourth are not machined all the way through where the dogears slide and engage them. hope this some help.
