stock 250r hood with light on 300ex

My question is i want to put a 88-89 stock hood style on my 300 because i need a headlight so is the wattage/amp the same as my stock head light, if not what can i do to make it work? Does any body know where i can get a black one all ive been able to find is white or red. thanks send pics if possible

Maier makes the that hood and it realy chep. i think your stock head light for the 300 is the same light. i dount have eny pix put there is some one on here that has all ready posted some pix some where so you could serch for it

I've done it. www.rockymountainatv.com has them, just search under an 89 or 88 250r, and its in the body section, any color you want. The stock 300ex headlight fits in good, but you'll have to figure out a way to mount it, which isn't hard at all. I just used the 300ex hardware, and some bolts, and bolted it into the stock 250r holes that are pre-drilled. Good luck. Here's a pic. Try a search next time. ;)
