Here is Adam Howell (indyGNCC), Adam was running second in the 4-stroke stock class when a dumb a** spectator rode across the track in front of him. Adam suffered a dislocated shoulder and a bent frame. Thats his brother Brent on the left, he won the 4-stroke class and took the overall in the morning race.

This is my friend Scott Ashley on the Cannondale. It was his first ever race, he finished 37th out of 55 in the first year racer class. Heck of a track to pick for your first race!!!:eek:

This is taken from my pit looking down the bunny slope. This place was gromed like a golf coarse. Actually the start was on the driving range! Finally a good use for a golf coarse!:D

It was a rush!! I did lots of passing going down that hill. You just can't tell people how steep these hills actually were. Pictures don't even begin to show how steep it really is.

hahahaha!!! i posted that pic and was like....doesnt even come close to the real thing!! balance said there would be some power passing on the uphill....i saw 2 and them rascals were flyin!! i was impressed!!

You could sure tell which 400ex's had big bore kits and which ones were stock. I could pass stockers at will but the built ones were a little tougher.

what did you think of the aspahlt section? thats not normal gncc type stuff is it!! i saw some close ones on that corner..i was waitin for someone to slide into balances trailer!!

i was wondering how a spectator ran infront of him on a quad when only quads out there were the ones racing....spectator on foot? mt bike?

Ya that was fun! The only other time I remember running on black top was when we used to race at Road Atlanta, we ran on part of the road racing track. They had a radar setup and we were hitting just over 70mph down one of the straits. Not bad for an old woods quad!:macho

if i am mistaking no one spectating was allowed on quads at the actual resort because you were only allowed to have one vehicle with your quad at the resort if you are racing and all spectators parked 1 mile away and rode the shuttle. So i guess that it must have been an official or another rider or riders pit crew so why blame a spectator because they were not allowed to be on quads and almost impossibe to get your quad into the resort if you are spectating.

This is what Adam told me, maybe it was an afternoon racer riding his quad up the hill to watch! I saw quite a few pit bikes riding around, the people working the gate didn't look in all those enclosed trailers.

I guess we could have walked by each other and not even have known. I usually wear my exriders t-shirt but I couldn't find it. I saw one guy at sighn up with one on but he said he was only a lurker and didn't post much.

yea but the natural terrain stuff like when coming out of the woods was pretty good though the straight up walls. someof you might have seen me i know 400ex127 saw me cause we were talkin about me and my dad fixing the 4-wheeler. i was wearing all green fox racing gear and my friends red boots cause mine are messed up and i am waiting for my new ones.

i can tell from where some of 400ex127's pics were taken from he had to be standing right beside me at the start of the morning class.

This is Adam Howell, it was just a spectator that some how got his quad in the gates. (Probably in a enclosed trailor) I had just got done changing a tire and a shift lever and went to go back on the track and he was driving around the pits and I t- boned him while I was going pretty fast. Now I have a broken collar bone and I screwed my shoulder up. Now I cant ride a quad for 5-6 weeks. That is unfortunately part of racing. My brother ended up dominating the race and won the overall by 5 minutes. It was still a fun race, got to watch the rest of the race with Jeff.

thats amazing, you make it past the hills, the rocks, and the trees. just then you thought it was safe to go back out, a specator of all things causes the problem. i've had some close calls at our local races with that and the sickest one was when a 10 or 12 year was walking his little brother ( looked around 2-3 years old) down the trail . i came around a blind turn and almost hit them. theres some dumb people out there. atleast you have some time to heal before the next race.

ok guy next one just look for my white r. shouldnt be too hard to spot not many of them around. hahaha. we will have to find a place to meet at next years race or at the budds creek national. i am racing there also if i cant get my bike done by then. just got my pipe off ebay. and yes i will be racing the r not the sportsman. hahaha

I dont have a exriders shirt...

look for red 400ex w/ ceet graphics, black ceet gripper cover, black acerbis hand guards w/ AC racing stickers on them...actually AC stickers on a couple places...and FLOURESCENT GREEN WHEELS in the Vet Class!!! you cant miss the wheels

Yeah I'm friggen workin of course..:( then off to rough river when I get off,,,ole ladies sittin at home chewin on my arse about when I'm leaving.. I will be out next week though after work since were nieghbors now..:D
