Hey guys, just wondering what's a good air filter to get, the stocker is getting worn out. I want something that is fairly easy to clean and won't cause me to have to rejet. Only mod to the motor is a drd. slip on with stock jetting.

K&n is great, you just cant be lazy in cleaning it,but it's very easy to do. But you will most likely have to rejet, simply just because you have a pipe.

You need to rejet with the slipon. I would recommend a Uni filter (foam) like the stock one.

Theres no point in getting a pipe or filter if your not going to rejet. You'll never feel the full effect of them since its not getting the right amount of fuel. But if your getting one i'd probably get the UNI just because it's foam, cheaper, not going to hurt if you dont clean it as much, and in my opinion overall safer of the two. You more than likely wouldn't feel any power difference between the two if you tried them both.:)

i haven't rejetted because dr.d said that you don't need to, and i don't know how to do it correctly.

You need to rejet with basically any aftermarket pipe or slipon. There is an article on how to rejet on this site, I would check it out.

I personwn a K&N in my fourwheeler and in my trucks. I like the performance but it seems like it is getting old cleaning them as often as they need ot be cleaned. So saying this I am going to say get an UNI you will be happier

Good jetting article here. Should help you out.

Basicaly in a nut shell, you'll need to go 2 sizes up on your main, and raise you needle 1 spot (drop the clip 1 notch).

If you bog a little on the bottom, turn your air screw out a 1/4 turn.
