I was just wondering what the best pipe is for a 300ex used for trails and just putting around. Some one told me that a white brothers would be good but i dont know.

I couldn't tell you on that pipe. I have no idea how the internals fared the mutiliation.
On the pipes question.
I'd reccomend a tunable disk option for woods trail riding for a couple reasons. Theay are a bit quieter.. and they keep mud spray and crap out of your pipe.
I dont know where you guys are getting the $450 prices from, your getting ripped off.
The Sparks X-4 is $349 on sparksracing.com $399 for the tunable disk/spark arrestor version.
You aren't going to get any other Header/silencer combo much cheaper.

Idk who quoted you $450 for a Sparks pipe, but they're wrong. You can get them new for like $350. I'd know, that's how much I paid for mine, and I'm glad I bought it.

i have a supertrapp IDS-2 on my 300ex and i like it. Its tunable so when i race in the woods, i take some discs out to some more bottom end and when i race on MX type tracks, i add a few to give me more top speed. It cost me 325? I cant find the site i bought mine from but here is another link

Aye, I don't know where they get these prices either. A 300ex Sparks x-4 is only $10 more than a HMF Sport + WB Header combo.
sparksracing.com has them listed for $349 (turndown style). $399 if you want the tunable disks w/ spark arestor.

It wouldn't be causing too little back pressure, it would be causing too much back pressure too work correctly. You really need to get a new exhaust on it as soon as you can, and get it rejetted.
