my buddy wants to take out the sleeve and then send it in to get bored. how hard of a procedure is this for fairly mechanical inclined people (my buddy and me) could someone give some bried details on this procedure? thanks alot!:)

the sleeve is the part that would get bored

if you got a manual you can do it........ and its the cylinder that gets bored not the piston........ pretty easy i never took a wuad apart and so far mine is going good???

what about putting the cam in is that easy?

yes just be carefull not to drop the cam bolts and put lots a lube....take out the decomp plunger and spring too

would it be safer to just to take it to my local honda dealer and have them do everything?

if you have the money for them to do it then i guess do it but its not that hard and i think you could do it yourself..

no idea depends how much they charge an hour?? it took me and a friend about 10 hours keep in mind weve never done it before so it was a learning experience plus it was like 20 degrees..

i just had my local shop install a cam for me. it was around 150$ for installation and parts (2 hours at 75$ an hour). if your not sure if you could do it yourself, like i was, spend the extra money and make sure its done right. Because you could be spending alot more money in damage due to improper installation later down the road. just my 2 cents.....

me and my dad do all our work ( within our capabilites) and so i would try it urself and if you htink u did it wrong take it to a dealer
