if i plan on getting a 416 kit what all should i get and who do i have install it.

my thoughts were:
10:8:1 je piston
stage 2 hotcams
crf cam chain

is that all i need?

you dont really need a new cam chain but i guess its good to change it since your in there....... just got done with mine and i still got the stock chain in there..... dont forget gaskets. people say cometic is the best... thats what i put in. got it from ebay for like 25 bucks

who put yours together? and who did the boring?

me and friend took it apart and put it back together..... a local machine shop did the bore and hone part......

how much did yours come to altogether, including the boring and everything?

a little over 300 bucks......125 for the piston kit, 125 for the cam. 25 for the gaskets and 45 for the machine shop...... and 15 bucks for the 20 pack:devil: :chinese:

on a scale of 1-10, abot how much mechanical knowlege do you think is necessary to install the 416 kit (not including the boring) oh yeah, and trx23rider, go on AOL you lazy *******! lol. thanks hawaiinsuperman!:D

If you can read a manual and have ANY mechanical knowledge, you should be able to do it.....


TRX23rider, get some valve seals while you're at it too!:)
