I cant say theres any cons but youll get a tiny bit more clearance in the front end with the 23''s I got the Carlisle 489s 23s on mine there the best steering tracking tire I ever had on it yet & I also bought them to balance out my bike beacause I have the 22'' rears & when it had 22'' fronts the back end was kind popped up a little & it changed the handling a bit ,it didnt powerslide as easy ,it took some getting used to & more throttle to slide it around but with taller tires on your bike & stock sized rears it may put the backend feel a touch lower & make it slide better or stock size would be just fine I just did it to correct my height in the rear & balance it out.

well I heard 23's have better steering and handling and have better clearence

if you are running 20" rears I would go with 22" front thats what I run

but if your running 22" rears I would run 23" fronts

Personaly, I prefer a 22" front XCR and 20" rear XCR. But it depends on where you are riding. I mostly ride/race desert and when I pre-run/practice I use a 22/20 combo, but when I race I go with a 23/22 combo just because of the added ground clearence. Even though I feel the 22/20 combo handles better.
