Which satellite radio system is every one using? Sirius or XM? Having a hard time choosing and just needing some opinions on the 2

howard rules...or maybe not... now you can hear him be totally unfunny while being really ignorant with bad language...my dead grandmother is funnier and more entertaining than stern

the naked chicks on his show are only good if you can see them

i dont personally have either, but me and my dad thinking are going to get sirius. we have friends that have it and they say get sirius.
Here is what they told me about each one

- Both Pretty much same price
- Both Pretty much have the same amount of stations. (give or take like 10 or so )
- XM has 2 satilites at the equator Rock & Roll are the names
- Sirius has 3 satilites in orbit with the earth and 2 of them are above the USA at all times.
- Sirius has Howard Stern!
Now im not 100% on these things, they may be totally wrong. Its just what they have told me. Ill probably do alot more research on them before making a final decision.

Rico400 is almost right on some things. I have XM in my truck for a couple of reasons. First of all, I know people that have both and the XM users seem to enjoy sat radio more. XM has three satelites broadcasting music where Sirius has five. Despite the fact that Sirius has more satelites, XM definately gets better reception. Sirius will briefly go out under overpasses or if you park underneath a tree or something, where XM almost always receives a strong signal. Both are good companies and cost the same ($12.95/month) and give you the same channel configuration, more or less. I just happen to recommend XM.

BTW, imo Howard Stern DOES NOT warrant buying Sirius. If this is your sole entertainment, you need to get new sources of entertainment.

During nascar races channel 143 or maybe 145 i cant recall plays the incar radio it just scans through every teams station and locks on one that is busy at that time. College football all baseball and hockey games hell even the PGA

This year, my friend lent me one of his his XM recievers for my car for about 3 months.
I really did like the commercial free part and liked several of the stations, but after a month or so I found myself listening to my CD's and my fav radio stations more than the XM.
Strange as it sounds, sometimes it seemed I just could not find anything that I wanted to listen too.
It is nice, but I cant justify spending $12.95 a month for it when I have CD's and radio for free.

Think of it as cable TV. You have all of the regular staions, and you can pay extra for the premium channels. But if you're not going to watch the premium channels, why bother having them?

ADD ON: With XM, you can log on the XM site on the the computer and listen to all of its channels. I have my friends name and password and once in a while log in and listen, but not very often.

so does it turn you guys on to listen to naked women, I mean they are all dumb as a box or rocks on his show and I dont see how listening to him talk about how hot they are while sombody cans in farting sounds in the background is good radio. Now watching it on tv is a little better
