Is the factory one ok or is it junk. My bike is not really modified. Who makes a case savor with a chain guard. I want a chain guard for sure. I sold a new pro design one because i couldn't use the factory chain guard.

The factory one is just as functional, the after market ones are a tad stronger. I just use the aftermarket ones for looks

I used the Pro Design unit and the stock guard. With some washers (as spacers) and some longer bolts. The stock guard fits just fine over the Pro Design case saver. Best of both worlds.

Nac`s makes a Case Saver. I like the big Guard in the EXRiders store.

I agree,,the stocker one is made out of aluminum foil I would't trust it at all,,I believe a case saver was the first aftermarket part I bought,,$25,,,,new case $120,,you do the math.

I think New Cases are around $300. They were for my Brother`s 250r anyways.

The $120 is what a new side case cost if you were to bust it with the chain,,,Odd's are you'll ruin a aftermarket case saver if the chain were to pop off,,,but your case should make it thru it..i think the stock chain gaurds are only on there to keep peoples feet safe,,like those who wear tennis shoes with strings while riding..a case saver is a very wise investment..:blah

The case saver and the chain guard are two different items!!!

The stock one is steel. How can an aftermarket aluminum one be stronger. That Pro Design one i had was really thin in the middle.
