hi i just got a 450 r and was wondering if 19 inch shocks work with any long travel a arms i know it says jb use 20 inch shocks so i was wondering if it mattered at all

Each arm maker uses a specicfic shock length to work with the leverage ratios they have preset into building the arms..It will make a world of difference either in a bad way or a good way, if the shocks are too short or too long it will handle poorly, they need to be spot on. Play it safe, and have the bike handle like its suppose to. Most 450R LT arms run between a 19.5 and 20.5 inch shock.

Your best bet is to buy the arms, then let the shock builder do the shocks specifically for them.

as much as 3/8 of an inch will throw your leverage ratios off.
