More air = more power right?

I tried it but the bike didnt seem to be running right. Im guessing if you that your gonna have to go up to atleast 175 main. Because I was @ 170 and it would die out when I would try to give it gas.

Either way give it a try, doesn't hurt to see what happens.

Thats because you were getting more air, get yourself a jet kit and get your jetting right and you will be ok.

I would not do it. The cage is a backfire protector and without the cage your airfilter could catch fire. The power you gain is very little.

well look at the twin air pro flow kit. it has the cage and it is cut like im saying. why would they sell it if it catches on fire. if u cut it it would be the same thing.

No it would not. The Twin Air filter is designed to be run with the open cage the stock filter needs the cage to prevent it from catching fire. The cage on the stock filter is there for a reason, but its your quad.

The cage on the stock filter is there incase it backfires through the carb it doesnt catch fire and cause a million dollar law suit. I ran it without the cage for awhile with no problems.

When did they start making one that fits both sides of the carb?
