400ex axle nut help

I am having some serious trouble with removing my stock axle on my 400ex. I got both nuts to make about a turn and a half around but i cant back the lock nut off enough to get to the clip off. i have tried most everything and i cant get it. does anyone have any answers to the problem? anything would help, thanks and happy holidays

You're sure your turning them the right way (backing off that is). Make sure that the thread is clean and not damaged. You might try heating up the nuts a little. You can also try putting a pipe on your wrench to get more torque on them.

use some type of penatrating oil on it.Not wd-40 . Soak it really good and let it sit.
