i think they look like crap and there really ugly IMO

if you dont want to get muddy and stuff just get full fenders (i think fullbore looks nice) or if you dont care go with maier race cut

heres a picture of my race cut

i think the maier race cut for the 300ex looks stupid, but hey thats just me. I think it would give the fenders the more "vertical" look if you had the flares.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with them, they look like crap. If you're wanting full fenders, just get a set of the stock style 300EX fenders. they'll fit better and look better. And it'll cost less than a racecut front with flares.

Not sure if you can see it clearly, but i like the new maier 450r style plastics, really spices the 300 up.

I first ordered the stock Maier front and rear, a few months after that they released this new 450r style, fed up with the look of the stock 300, I invested! I will snap some pics for the front tomorrow. Here is a link to the front on the Maier site.

The best lookin 300ex race fenders ive seen are stock ones that have been shaved this will give them that little upward flare on the ends. the maier race front just looks plain gay.

Front (http://www.caksquad.com/300ex%20007%20(Small).jpg)

you may or may not notice the dented nurf :ermm: was riding in the snow a bit to fast and slid into a tree, could of been worse if i never had them nurfs, bent rim, axle who knows. Any way hope you like my ride, its not much but its enough for me.

Here is the side view if thats the angle shot your looking for, its a bit older though click (http://www.caksquad.com/300ex%20001%20(Small).jpg)

As for the dent, yea it’s a dent, really bummed about it to. I made it almost all summer without hurting them then it takes 1 winter day. Its not to bad, i might try to beat it back if it don’t collapse the tube.

did you just use the 450r style fronts and use the normal backs

thats what it looks like. How hard was it too do?

I plan to get the new rears, at the time I never had an extra 200 bucks to spend on the rears, so I just got the fronts. As for fitting, I had to cut a little off the rear, I think it was on the right side, which was about it for cutting, you don’t even notice. :D

Sjorge450R

so its no big deal to get them to fit, because i need new plastic and i like the fronts but i dont like the rears and say that they arent interchangable.

When you get the new fronts put them on as showed with the instructions, then put the rears on, you will notice that the seat latch don’t latch, mine, I’m sure its the same on others was hitting on the right side where the front and rear meet, so i took some metal snips and cut a little off the rear till they matched up.

that’s 450r plastic?
Not 450 plastics, they are the new 300ex plastic by Maier; they are modeled after the 450r so they said.

maier has some nice ones, i think it would look good with a hood.

i wanna see the new plastics with a hood on it. like a quadtech or something. they kinda look like they would accept a yfz hood kinda. but i think that they would look better with a hood on them. once i see a set with a hood on them i will pick me up a set

I think its a great idea to put a hood on it. not really sure what to get and how they mount, placement etc.
