Bearing Carrier

My lock nut came loose and im almost positive the bearings are shot cause water was dripping from the carrier, more like pouring, and the axle was movign about 1/2 inch side to side. do i have to replace the whole carrier or can i just replace the bearings and seals. also what brand would you recommend. thanks

how will i knw will there just be grooves on the inside

get a Rad carrier , it sounds like your housing is damaged any way stock or after market bearings will never last as long as a unit you can grease with the nipple on the side just put the new full y assembled carrier in there & slide all the other junk through Im on my 3rd year with mine with no signs at all of needing replacement I used to change those every season since new now I just grease it once in a while & forget about it.
