I think hot cams
I don't know if Hot Cams are the best but they are more affordable than many other cams.
The best cam for YOU will depend on what kind of riding you do and the performace you want.

It adds waaaaaay more than bottom end. It pulls hard from top to bottom. It's much better than a stage 2 hot cam.

a web cam has definitly the best bang for the buck...hot cams hae a tendency to walk acroos the head and ruin your head........the best cam by far is EAST COAST ATV, they make there own cam, it will cost lot more but definitly is worth it.

John Natalie uses an East Coast Atv set up on his race quad. that should say something. web cams and hot cams are good tough, and probably more econmoically priced.

I had a stage 2 hotam in my 400ex.
It had great topend power. I don't think it lost anything on the bottom end, it still had plenty of lowend torque for me. To me it was set up perfect it pulled hard from idle to shift time.

I have a Web 450/451 model in my 400ex. It is a 416, stroked to 440. The quad has more pulling power than any quad I have ridden. The over-rev isn't all that good, though, so if you want to race go with webs 479j (I think)model. You pay a bit of $$ to get hardened rockers, but it is worth it.

I had a Webcam 450/451 grind cam in my old 440 engine and at best I could say it was OK. Much better than stock, but not a huge improvement. I run the HRC cam now and it blows that cam away, lots of usable power and revs up like no other. Night and day difference :o
