Ok, here is a picture of a 250r that I am more than likely going to be buying soon. I'm not liking the frame color though, so I would like to know which color of PC matches the 2nd picture I post. And also how expensive it will be. I definetly want red, but I know that there is candy apple red, trans red, and the new sparkle red. So I would just liek to know which one would look best on my R. The whole color scheme I'm planning is red/ white/ black. Let me know what you guys think.

for a pre-coated frame, it would be $250 for a candy color and that includes removal of the existing powdercoated finish.

I take it that was your old 250r. That looks really nice. I'm not sure what color would look the best. Do you think candy apple would look the best?

I'll have some stuff to send you here soon. I would liek to have you gusset it because it goign to have a lot of MX races put on it, but I just cant afford it, so I will probally just strip it down myself and have my uncle weld some gussets in it for me. Do you sandblast them, or use some kind of stripper??

powdercoated frames go thru a burn off oven, then are media blasted.

Woah, i dont have any of those. I'm not even sure if the frame is PC'd or not. I thought they were painted stock. I'm not sure though.

in any event, we prefer to handle prep from start to finish, but you gusseting is no big deal. just keep me posted if and when ya send it.

Alright, I wont mess with prep work. I will gusset it though if it isnt done already. How long does it usually take from between when I send the stuff and when you send it back?

i try o keep it 2 weeks or under, but this time of year the volume of work, the weather, holiday schedules etc all seem to gang up and slow me down.

in a few more weeks, i am hoping to turn them in a week, and in the very short future i hope to turn frames in just a few days:devil:

Wow, I was expecting 2 or 3 months, im impressed. Well, as soon as I get my 250 and decide what i want to do to it, I will tear it down and send some parts out.

hah well, the term "media" refers to several differnt types of "media abrasives" that can be used to strip the old finish from a part. these range from sand (rarely used in todays market) to plastic pellets for stripping aircratf bodies.

so saying "sandblasting just doesnt cut it these days as sand is not used:p
