wat does a lighter fly wheel do?

It allows the engine to rev out quicker, since there is less rotating mass. I have a crf flywheel in my motor, which is like half the size of stock, and my motor flat out rips.

what mods do you have to do to make the bike flywheel work?

To add to the above it also causes easier stalling and many believe a lower top end speed because the weight in motion is not enough to propel it the extra few thousand RPMs...

Great for MX and Dunes...not so good for XC and the average trail rider.

In order for the crf flywheel to work you have to get your sidecase modified, get the crf stator, wire harness and cdi. Which comes up to close to $500. You can get a -4 for $119. The -4 isn't near as light as the crf but it's a lot cheaper. As for the stalling issue i run a -6 on my yfz and it isn't a problem.

You can get a weighted flywheel from www.HRPracingproducts.com ...therefore making more bottom end for these high *** strung motors
