well im tryin to sell the rest of my YFZ, and i was gonna get another one, but lately ive been thinkin about a 450r. I ride mx and trails. I was comfortable on the yfz but im still a beginner as far as mx goes and not sure what would be best. Im kinda small bout 5,9 130lbs, and i sat on a 450r at the dealer today and it felt kinda big, im not sure if im just not used to it or if it would be too big for me.

What do you guys thinK? should i make the switch or stick with the yfz? i have noticed alot of riders a switching and i think the honda is a better ride, but it might be big:confused:

btw im not diehard towards either brand.

id deffinatley switch.. the thing i like about the honda is the comfortablility it has... the yfz is real small and cramped up to me... im 5'9 and the 450r fits be perfect.. i like how the gas tank jus makes perfect room for turnings and leaning.. and theres no real big diff between power.. me and my friend will race and its even most of the time.. other times ill win.. he has yet to beat me.. and thisis without my hotcam stg2:devil:

I would switch. Im going to get my 450r tomorrow. what i like is no electronics at all. to me all electric start is is problems and more weight because of the battery etc. Also you cant beat the reliability of a honda. Ive had 2 hondas and they have been through hell and back and never gave me a complaint thats why im still stayin with the honda.

im 5-10 and 135 pounds. i like the 450r cause its bigger. the yfz's felt small to me. i would definatly go with the 450r.

It doesnt really matter which one you get, they are both very capable for any type of riding and both very fast. I guess just follow your heart and pick whichever one you are thinking about the most.

I'm 6'2 and the only complaint with the yfz i have is the bars feel to low and the seats to hard.

no your wrong, I stripped my 450 to the frame last night and it has more wires than the main computer at microsoft. but you dont have to worry about them like with the E-start.

Honda all the way 450R or 250R, depends if you can find a good 250.

LOL

I've ridden both, after reading the posts on the cranks going bad, I keep feeling like the 250 is better, faster, cheaper. Best of all two stroke.

Thats right EVERY STROKE IS A POWER STROKE!

im 6'1 190lbs and ill stick with my yfz
i also have 1inch raised handle bars

the 450r is nice but it doesn't have the snap that the yfz has

To be honest, I have ridden my buddies piped YFZ ( Withy a few here and there accesories) and did not find it any more snappy than my 450r. In a drag I could actually just edge him out. But hey, to each their own.

For the question, both are awesome.. so, if you are already comfortable on your YFZ, then you really don't need to switch. Otherwise, see if you can ride them both and feel them out... pretty much everyone is going to tell you that what they have is superior.
