I want to race in the spring, but I have some issues

I want to race the blaster class in mx on my 250ex in the spring but I have issues money wise. I have my pipe jet kit and all of the motor mods I want, but I need to buy nerf killswitch tires and maybe a set of Handlebars.

I have a dilemma, I don't have a job I don't really geat that big of an allowence I do the dishes vacuum clean the garage do some laundry etc.

Right now I don't even know how I managed to have saved up 145 dollars, with a 5 dollar allowence in like a couple of weeks.

But I'm torn between a decision, I can either get my new front tires and the nerfs and killwitch in the spring or do the opposite.

right now the tires aren't a big issue for me because its winter time and i have a tiny little bit of tread and I can get new tires in the spring, but idk how I will save up the money.

the nerfs cost 109.99 and the killswitch costs 29.99

the front tires i want cost 127 dollars.

right now I"m leaning toward the nerfs and killswitch idea now and the fresh new tires in the spring.

Also when exactly does racing season start in the spring?

get the nerfs and kill switch first because your not gonna be racing for a while if your foot comes of the peg and gets run over. and if you wait to get the tires they will be fresh when racing season starts up.

u cant race with out nerfs or a killswitch get them first.. also depending on where ur racing check to see if they have a 91-300 cc 4 stroke class.. if so enter into that.. u wont get killed as bad

who is going to cover your entry fees to the races every week?...racing gets expensive, things break and wear out faster and need replaced quick, as well as entry fees, transprting to and from, extra maintenance(much more frequent oil changes, etc)

yah i was gonna say , if your having trouble just getting the money together to buy the stuff you need to race , forget it! not trying to be mean or anything , but you wont be competitive on a 250ex with no suspension mods or anything , also it will add up real quick to race . I know the minimum down here to race is 25 dollars .

My dad will cover the race fees, not that I'm spoiled bc i do pay for gas tires and other sutff i want.

I my dad will pay for the stuff that may break but he says I have to works my *** off for most of the summer if he does.

if u realy wat to be competitive sell ur 250x buy a older 250x/300ex/blaster and use some leftover $ u have to put nerfs and kill switch on it. u can race almost stock 300ex and be more competitive tham a 250ex any day be leave me i have seen it done. any one of the bikes i listed would walk away from a 250ex and they have more mod options that a 250ex too.

You could sell your pipe and take that money and get what you need. The pipe will not do to much for you anyway. Smaller tires to lower your center of gravity will allow you to go faster than a pipe anyday. Good Luck and have fun.
