im just finishing up my 300ex big bore.(85mm sleeve/piston) and im still on the fence for a exhaust system.im looking for one with a adequate sized head pipe for the 385cc motor.i know sparks makes a system but im not paying $500! im just making sure with the motor that i give it a system to take advantage of the performance mods.i have the WB "all around cam"(1850 grind i think).11.5 to 1 je piston,ported head(not polished):D ,and a 400ex carb..for now.if i cant find one then i may have to build one;)

LRD would have a pipe for all your mods.

WB e seires header and HMF silencer flows very well, that would be my choice. if you really think you need free flowing, go with a TC racing, but the are extremely loud

HMF Sport Slipon = $220 (HMF Engineering site)
WB E-series Header = $125 (rockymountian ATV) $139 (Dennis Kirk)

Total = $335 - 359

Sparks Racing 300EX / 250X ceramic complete exhaust system X-5 = $349 (sparksracing.com)

So.. actually the Sparks pipe is almost exactly the same price as the HMF / WB combo. ;)

Not sure why people think the Sparks is so much more expensive. Maybe they just assume it is, since it's a better pipe.

i'd never even looked at the price of a sparks.
anyway, i change my suggestion, go with a sparks!
