Has any one had a problem putting the factory hubs on a lsr axle? I have a 06 450 and the splines line up but will not slide on. If I tap them with a deadblow hammer they will go about an 1/8" and you can see them starting to cut in to hub and the axle.:(

Call LSR...they have great customer service.

I hope you are lubing the splines on the axle with a good waterproof grease. It will make life on the splines easier and if you ever take the hubs off again.

its more then likely chrome build up on the axle.

grease it and tap it on.

I'm calling lsr this morning. I'm hoping that it is the chrome but when I've seen that before the chrome would flake. I hate betting parts on if they unless they are a press fit. Thanks for all the help, I'll let everyone know what lsr recommends.

Well it was an easy fix. The 06 hubs and splines are bit smaller making the the axle for the 04-05 a little to big. I do mean a little, lsr told me .001 but I needed to take more off the end by the threads. Works great now.

It was a easy fix. I did it on the quad by using air grinder that had a buffer on it. The buffer is the same type we use to clean gasket material, it doesn't take much off per pass so it's very forgiving to work with. Good Luck (it's easy)
