next project 250x

almost done with the drag rappy and thinking i might need a new project!!! i did have a gixxer banshee projet but some1 offered me 1,400 for the roller and the engine so i took it and put the money in my rappy.
the 250x... on the quad i want to spend around 400-800
mods i want to do are
bore it over to .80
400ex carb
custom 450r shocks or 400ex shocks
blue maier palstic
k&k graphics w/ seat cover
+2 swing arm
450r axle
bling star bumber
ac nerfs
20-10-8 haulers dunes
21-7-10 smooth dunes
18-10-8 bear claw trails
21-8-10 razers trals
K&N air filter
port and polishe
web cam stage 2
hot rod crank stock size
big gun exhaust. white brors


my goal is to get the bike to high 20's or mid 30's hp let me know how many hp you think this quads going to have and how many cc


any of you have some sweet 250x lets see them and any project X's let me know

why did you lower your raptor for sand drags?

btw the 250x may be worth it for a trail quad. Otherwise i would just save your money and put it in the raptor for when it breaks.

lol yeah the lowering only lowerd it in 1" in the front and 2" in the rear its about the height of a stock shee maybe a little lower

but i would sell the quad whole. i would probly sell it for around $2200
top end rebuilt has about 15 hours
new razrs front and rear (not in pic)
the plastic is new
new seat cover
and im getting some number plates and sponsor stickers for it too.

pic of my friends he sold it and bought toomey t6 and a bunch of other stuff for is banshee but im looking for a bike kinda like this

he bought it for 800 bucks we just had to put new gas in it and sold it for 1,300 the only thing we found out is that it needs better shocks he has a old ripped up rail roads be hind his hous and we made it into a box jump by the ditch on 1 side and the ditch on the other it was are winter quad will my raptor and his banshee only see summer he fliped his dads work quad trying to jump it funny stuff

considering that the number plates cost 30 dollars for three plus the number 8 dollars and im getting two sticker packs 13 dollars each.
$51 so yeah its kinda alot of money for stickers.

and do any of you know if a 350x motorhas to carbs or 1 and will a 400es exhaust work on it im thinking a 350x motor but not sur yet and will it make the bike weigh a lot more with the 350 in it cuz i want a realy light bike with ok power

With those mods to the 250x you'll probably have around 20-23 hp..Mine was putting out 29 hp and around 30-31 ft. pds of tq.
It had a TC big cam, 357cc big bore-stroker , port and polish, home built carbon fiber pipe, 38 mm. mikuni carb, overrsize valves, lightened flywheel , advanced timing keyway , modded ignition box , and a few other goodies.And regeared to a 15-33 with 18 inch rear tires.That thing would fly! But only having a 5 speed transmission hurt it on top end. It would outrun a 250r 310 kit through high gear then the r would hit 6th and walk off.
Good luck with the project.

BTW FYI ---this was rear wheel hp on a dynojet run at london KY mx national in 98 or 99.Not an estimate or hp at the flywheel.

not sure what you just said but he had the 450r shocks on there and they are longer then the yfz schocks so the quad sits up high

people put yamaha shocks on yamaha and same for hondas also

ever heard of the 400ex front end on a 300ex chassis

josh (the kid with the banshee) put yfz shocks on his banshee
