Do you guys carry money or use a debit/credit card?

For the past year I have been using nothing but a debit card, when it is possible. Well, yesterday I lost it and had to cancel the card and order a new one.

Let me tell you, I feel like I'm naked without that thing...lol. I'm used to not worrying about having money on hand, I usually just got to the ATM, if I'm out. Now if I don't have cash after 6, I guess I'm just SOL...

cash, credit and Debit...

certain places just don't take cards, like the cafeterias at alot of the factories I am in and out of alot.

I used credit wherener making online or over the phone orders, or pretty much any place I am not 100% sure about the safety of my info. There is a safety net with a credit card that you don't have with debit.

Im using my debit card alot these days, you just have to remember to post it in your checkbook.
All debit card reciepts go right in my wallet or checkbook to be recorded.
I use my credit card sometimes too and write checks once in awhile.

One thing I have been doing for awhile is paying bills online. Saves a stamp and a ton of time.

Yeah... Wait till your legal drinking age... go to a bar with cash and see how long it lasts..
I don't know how many times I've gone drinking and came home with an empty wallet.

Cash, Debit, Visa... it's all in there, some places don't take Debit (or Visa) so you gotta pay cash, I like to use my VISA to get my credit up, then I pay it off asap.

Thats a very good idea.

Perhaps the country wouldnt have so much debt if more people followed that simple rule (of course, there ARE somethings that you will necessarily never have the cash for immediately-- cars, houses, education, etc...).

Cash is king !! People who say that cash is too easy to spend,I think it is the other way around! Plastic has no real value and that is how most people use it , then they are stuck with minimum payments for years..

I have a visa card and pay it off every month in full,no interest for me !! :macho

I don't have a credit card, just my debit. That's why I like it more than cash, I can have all the money to my name in one card, I can't spend more than I have, there is no interest. Plus if I lose it there is only a few dollars to replace and I can cancel it fast enough no one can spend from my account where as if I lose cash it is just gone.

CASH. I just got my first credit card four years ago(I'm 40). I only use it to mail order and to do Easypay on a couple monthly bills. I hate standing in line behind someone using a card to make a tiny purchase. Sheesh, can't you carry a few dollars? The only thing I've ever bought with payments is my house and it's paid for. Pay cash for cars;cheaper that way. Pay my whole credit card bill every month. They've not made a cent off me.

I use debit card like the rest hardly ever carry cash but, on big ticket items or stuff that is related to my buisness I use credit card I usually run about 20-30 thou. a month through my credit card, then I pay it off at the end of the month, you get charged no interest, and reep the frequent flyer miles (might as well get something out of the deal)
