when i was taking my engine apart i droped both the cam bearings on the ground. i went to the dealer and the mech. told me to just spray some brake cleaner on it and oil it up.........any one else experienced this prob. any info would be great.....

If it didn't damage the bearings, just use some degreaser (the brake cleaner should work fine too) and clean them up really really good, and repack the bearing with some assembly lube for initial startup.

i just dumped a bunch of 10-40 oil on it should that be sufficient?

I'd make sure there's NO grit in there.:ermm:

I did the same thing to mine when I replaced my cam. I knew I was taking it apart in another month or so anyways so I just cleaned them up really well and oiled them really good. Took apart after month or so and they were still good. Haven't had any problems at all.
