I know this question has probley been asked a million times..but i looked for it and couldnt find the exact answer... I know 400ex shocks and aarms will fit on a 300ex with some adjustments... And alot of people told me that the 400ex aarms and shocks on the 300ex would create some bumpsteer and wear out the balljoints. Is this true especially if my friend wants to jump his 300ex? thanks alot!

Don't do it. Use parts designed for the 300. If you want to go cheap, get some Burgards or ASR's. If you want LT get the GDH +3+1 LT's.

Here's another thread about this that might help out..

I highly suggest you search for 400ex 300ex a arms and read the other posts before having your freind try it out. The truth is some people like it and some don't. Personally I have tried it and didn't like it at all and ended up switching to aftermarket parts made for the 300ex. Here's a few threads for you to check out.

My friend decided he is going to go with aftermarket aarms and shocks made for his 300ex... he wants to know some good cheap aftermarket aarms for his 300ex and he will be using them for jumping, trailriding, and mabe a lil track... He wants to know whats a good length like +2 or etc...??? Also some good shocks for the aftermarket arms that are cheap but better than stock? keep in mind he is on a really tight budget... thanks alot

Burgard +2+1 a arms and a set of works economy shocks(no rezzie/non adjustable) would be about the best option on a tight budget. Still it would be close to $800 new but there are used sets around here and eBay for much less. Both will make a huge improvement over stock. He may want to consider widening the rear to match also.
