I run the 10-w40 in summer vs 20-w50 winter. And i run castrol anti-sludge synt.

I run ams oil 0w-40. its a bit pricy, but so far my quad runs the smoothest on that.

Valvoline ATV 10W-40 Oil. Made specifically for quads. Provides wet clutch protection as well. It's $2.35 a quart at Autozone.

Im assuming that there is a modification needed to run full synthetic ?
I have been warned more than Once not to use synthetic as the Clutch starts slipping - my understanding is that bikes of SG grade oil do not particularly enjoy the use of full synthetics .

i must admit to wanting to throw synthetic in myself , but up until this point have not bothered , due to the warning about the clutch .

Whats the verdict on this , and am i correct about the springs on the plates ?

just don't use the synthetic with friction modifiers in it
