450 on 400 hood?

i just got my 450r hood in for my 05 400ex but it wont line up on my plastics
think i can get it in there.....

maier has a hood scoop out made for the 05-06 400ex.

Well from what i understand you just have to cut the headlight mounts out and drill 2 holes for the front. I dont have the stock headlight assembly or hood anyways so thats what im gona do I think. I get my hood for christmas so if you want to wait I can give you a little more info on what all you have to do.
