Is that just a clamp they put on them and shorten the hose? Thats all it looks like to me, or is somethign really that different about them?

I went from Elka LT to these so i dont have stocker no more... Accually josh the Front rezzi is the same exact size at the big bottle rear...

piggybacks are like the front's shown in the picture, where the rezzie is mounted to the shock. and remote is like the rear, where there is a line that connects the two:macho

Piggybacks and Big Bottles. :p I think there is no difference. Except for how they look and how the bottles are placed(as piggybacks or attached to the frame.

Yeah, thats all they are, just pep shocks that have a rezzi clamp on the shock with a shorter line. If im mistaken they are still the same "shocks". I believe PEP is going to make a true pickeyback shock sometime, i was at axis the other day and they showed me there new pickeyback fronts and rear's.

Yea, I saw them installing those on one of Tim Farr's new 450r's when I was up at Baldwins a few weeks ago. They are just liek everyone said, remote rezzies with short hoses, mounted onto the side of the shock like a remote rezzie.

Why even come out with these? I dont see any advantage over remotes, and personally I think remots give a much cleaner look.

thats what i think. how do they bolt up, is it a clamp style with a pinch bolt or what? they will prob fall off while racing!!! lol

Gee, don't spend any money on product design now...Those made the PEPs even uglier. :devil: Great shocks, but they could bring their design into the 21st century. :ermm:

corect me if I am wrong here, just something I was thinking over in my head.

by having a shorter hose like that, wouldn't it make so that the oil actually transfers more into the resevoir, as there is a smaller volume in the hose? possibly making for lower temps and possibly circulating different oil back into the shock?

putting the resevoir there would also make it so it is sticking out into quicker moving air and not blocking the radiator

I just find it had to belive that he would spend the time developing the bracketry for something that doesn't offer any benefits :confused:

But, why did they not just do away with the hose all together and just make a piggyback...lol

And, as they sit in the picture, the hose will be on the front of the shock on one side; and on the back of the shock on the other side...lol

really nice shocks i wish they would come out with a real piggy back rezzy shock. i also think they need to bring the look of those shocks to the 21st centry.

another reason why they are remote mounted with a line is to isolate them from the shock body and by doing this it keeps the oil in the rezzy kool like it should. By making it all one peice it jus transfers the heat to the rezzy defeating the purpose of the rezzy, which is to protect against shock fade.

another thing is they say that most piggyback transfer passage ways arent large enough to really do much. The lines that PEP uses are useful. He has a system that he knws works and hes going to make sure these work 100% before he relases it. Not like other companies making the consumer the R&D crew. Which is not good at all:mad:
