Recall on 05 400ex

I got a letter from Honda yesterday saying that they have a recall on 05 ex's for a problem with the reverse engaging while in first gear.

Anyone else have this problem or know what they are replacing?

you should know when youre in first gear, due to the low speed!you shouldnt pull in your clutch and try to go into reverse cause you know its not gonna work without turning the knob. this would only be a problem if you were to try this just to see if it will do it.in which case when you do this , and it goes into reverse, youre either gonna ruin your gear or stall the engine. i also own a 05 400ex and also got the dreaded, RECALL NOTICE. i probably wont take it in until it breaks,being hard headed as i am. untill then, happy wheelin!!

First post newbie to the site...

Anyhow... don't feel too bad... I actually own a 2005 400ex and can't have it because of the recall... two weeks it's been mine...there's a sign on it... I go sit on it... yet I can't have it... F*** There's probably some damn kid over there right now drooling all over my 5000 dollar toy that I CAN'T HAVE

Anyhow... hope the parts come in soon.
