Anybody on here built one? I've got a good 400ex rolling chassis thats begging for it.

What are some of the problems associated with it? I know it will vibrate like heck.

i would put a cr500 motor in it, but it would be kind of pointless if you didnt live by the dunes.

I belive they have a shot of it, Dierwolf a old member on the site had a cr500 250r and he rubber mounted the motor to cut down on vibration, look up some of his posts it should be able to help you as well!

unless you put a counter balancer or flexx bars and alot of gussetts don't do it .....it'll vibrate your teeth out seriously

Im not saying that your wrong but I don't belive that it would vibrate alot! Why doesn't it vibrate when it is in a dirt bike??? So all of a sudden as soon as you drop it in a quad frame it starts to vibrate!!! Ya know what I mean! I have ridden a CR500 before and it don't vibrate at all!

Because the dirtbike frames are more compact that makes them stronger. Also I think that it's something about the frame being more compact, and the front forks that really reduce the vibration.

If the engine is mounted properly using some type of vibration absorbing mounts it should be tolerable.
