ok guys i got a question, i have a 06 elec. start and well it doesnt seem to want to do anything, it sits there like its out of gas or not getting any fire, it will run for about a good solid 2 minutes then foul a plug, not to mention the battery isnt charging properly. whats goin on here? anyone else have these issues or did i just buy a lemon? i dont even know if they have lemons in the atv world but if they do i honestly believe i got one.

my battery was the same way, and ive heard of lots of peoples betteries doin it also. it should be under warranty, mine was. make sure you let it warm up real good, it takes a while espically as cold as it is. also make sure you have your choke on

Has anyone figured out anything to do to get the 06 electric start models to start faster for cross country racing dead engine start

Turn the idle up...

Another consideration would be to incorporate a hot start if the OEM FCR still has a place for it (if not, consider selling it and getting a dirtbike version). Haven't torn into my buddy's 06 that far yet, but turning the idle up made a big difference at our last sand trip.

If it will work, try and put a carb off of a 04 or 05.

Plug fouling is an indication of a serious jetting issue.

If it fouls them at idle, you'll need to start dropping the pilot size until the idle stablizes & the plug fouling stops.

electric start :(

The 450R kick starts so easy...they never needed to make an E start version

If the machine is jetted correctly you will not ever have a starting issue...as in being stranded.
dont hold the botton down. tap it for a second and wait......then tap. tap tap....be gentle, she likes it gentle...;)

Take the air lid off and run it that way make sure the filter is clean otherwise you may need to rejet

I agree, sounds like a jetting issue. Get it re-jetted, and maybe the HRC kit as well, and I think that will help you a lot.
