New Motor

How much would it cost approximately to get a new motor. I need an extra 400ex motor for my bike to use as a back-up but I have no idea as to how much to expect to pay.

HA! $1500? Honda dealer wants $1000-1500 to rebuild one. I believe new they are more than $1500.

yeah I was thinking around 1500$ for a new one...but I guess it's a little higher...they don't list the 400ex, or the XR 400..but a XR 250 is 2100...so probably a little more then that.

Ive sold a few 400ex motors, they have went from anywhere 800 to 1500, Just depends whats done to them.

I will have a FDO 440 motor ready to sell in the next week or 2 if your interested.
