how much are you looking to spen on a bike?

Well my brother and I are building a quad out of 400EX rolling chassis, I was thinking about using the cr250 motor in it for kicks.
I guess the amount of money I'll spend on the bike depends on the year. If its in good shape, I wouldn't mind picking up something older for around 1K. Do you happen to know what the best year is? Or which year had the most balls simply put?

hey i got two bikes for sale i have an 87' CR250 runs real strong fresh piston and rings,good tires the thing is in great shape for its age, and i have a 91' KX250 has new top and bottom end the engine runs great and the rest of the bike is in nice shape too both very fast

the 87' was a good yr. for the CR's one of the fastest

id like to get 600 for the cr and 800 for the kx
