The used 99 400ex I just bought as a bent upper a arm on the left side. How expensive is this to replace? How easy is it to replace? The wheel/tire leans in at the top about 1 and a half inches more that the one on the other side. Will this greatly affect anything. I am just a recreational rider, pretty mellow.

check out www.ebay.com and look up a-arms for the 400EX. something will come up. they are not that expensive and usually they are not damaged. people are just selling them because they bought extended a-arms.im nopt sure how much they are maybe anywhere from $30 and up. but i don't know how much they are.

They are very cheap from www.servicehonda.com It should be pretty easy to replace.

you should be able to get a brand new uppper control arm for $50 or so...

piece of cake to change, but check out the FAQ forum for a few ways to get the upper ball-joint out of the spindle easily..
