made a bet with a friend that a ds650 will murder a scrambler 500. He won't believe me. He thinks that because it has a pvt tranny that it would kill a ds650. Im right, right?

Reminds me of a guy up here bout a year and a half ago. This guy was riding his scrambler 500 around what we call the desert, its like a desert, but only about 6 or 7 acres. He was in full riding gear, he spray painted parts of his quad neon green, yellow, etc. He come over to talk to me and a couple of my friends, we had a 300ex, rancher 350, predator, and a z-400. He said that he raced the scrambler in MX against dirt bikes and he could keep up with them, and beat some. We asked him if he wanted to drag race, since he seemed so confident he could beat every one of us, he just said "na I just feel like taking it easy today"

it should, but as always alot depands on the riders. I have beat a yfz in a drag and beat 450r ,raptor, and a predator within 1 lap on a tt track.Im sure they are all faster than my piped only 400ex:blah:

the scrambler would stay a bit ahead at first because of 4x4 but the top end hands down the DS would take it. scramblers top out at around 68mph and the DS is somwhere around 75mph give or take.

I give the edge to the Scrambler on take off, but the DS would be in front in no time.

However a Scrambler 400 is another story if it's modded. Those things can be insanely fast (and they are pretty cheap to mod).

but a stock 500....not much competition.
