I am currently getting a S/O hmf pipe and UNI air filter for my 2006 400ex.. should i jet it out since i am getting these? If not will it hurt the bike?

And if i do jet it.. how much will this usually cost for someone 2 do?

You are going to be running really lean, if you dont rejet you wont even get the effect out of the pipe and the filter since it wont have the extra fuel it needs. If you dont theres a chance you'll burn up your piston because it will run really hot.

Try starting by going up 2 sizes in main jet- sort of rule of thumb-the jets are easy to change, shut your fuel off- run the bowl empty, use a 17mm wrench and remove the bottom plug from the fuel bowl- you may need to remove the crankcase tube for extra room- use a 1/4" short socket to remove the jet, always righty tighty and lefty loosie, if the tube that holds the jet comes out w/ the jet- thats fine, just re-install the tube w/o the jet, then screw in the new jet- becareful not to over-tighten or you'll snap the jet off in the tube, just do everything in reverse order as you did removeing the jet- its really simple and no need to pay a shop to do it. All this can be done with the carb on the quad.
