the biggest u could go without rubbin ur tires on the fenders is 31 inch tires but if ur willing enough to go the extra mile u could trim ur fenders and a little lift and fit 32's

the only reason that would cause them to rub is if they were set at an angle while turning like if u were goin over a berm with ur wheels turned.

i was looking at a lift kit that lifted it 3.5 inches and it said it could accept 31 inch tires by 10.5 and thats after the lift so how would they fit that without the lift

Is this Jeep a ZJ or a WJ because either should be able to fit 31's with ease at stock height.

teh ZJ (Grand cherokee) wil fit 31x10.50 in stock form. on an XJ (Cherokee) you need about 3" lift or trimming to fit 31's. they mainly rub the lower contro arms at full lock and on the fenders slightly at full bump. With a lttile more backspacing a32 should fit as long as you dont off road it too much adn flex it. it is when it flexes that the tire hit the fenders. usually the rear part of the fender. while turning and flexing at the same time.
